Not sure what the hell happened to me last night that made me ditch my Saturday night Lima for a party packed with Lawyers – the IABA (Iranian American Bar Association) Washington DC Chapter Annual Holiday Party at Alex Gallery – only a few blocks from Awesome DC headquarters, my condo :-)
Although, the party wasn’t as HOT as the ones at Lima, it turn out great! It was pretty well organized and packed with awesome Washingtonians, not to mention the fantastic Persian cuisine served for dinner :-)
As for the host, the IABA is an organization that works towards educating and informing the Iranian American community about legal issues to raise awareness amongst the American public and their representatives on legal matters of interest and concern to the Iranian American community.
I met interesting people as well as a few potential investors for my new venture, awesomize.me :-) Thanks to Robert Babaya, Leila Abdi, and Farisa Dastvar, the organizers and the sponsors (Villa Title, Law Offices A.P Pishevar & Associates, Venable, and McNabb Ferrari) Well done guys! Can we do this again? How about next Saturday? :-)
I also had a chance to yap about my awesomize.me with Hooman Radfar, another awesome Washingtonian entrepreneur, CEO& Founder of clearspring.
Hooman was the only one with whom I shared the same lingo. I’ve been always impressed by the dude, although last night’s encounter impressed me even more.
Hooman was at the party with two smoking hot Persian babes, who were both getting annoyed with him and probably with me too, while he patiently listened to my yapping. Despite this, the man continued listening till the end, when he then spoke with me of the next step as he perceives it. I don’t know many guys who would do such a thing (of course, besides myself), and was impressed. I hope last night wasn’t their last date.
